Les Bellamy rolls the bones for council - update

Council candidate Les Bellamy is a long time resident, owner of Bellamy Homes. Bellamy is a charter member of the Tom Dyas 'Old Boys Club'. https://www.votebellamy.ca/ In August 2023, the City of Kelowna rescinded permits for 350 Doyle Ave after the City discovered that public hearing supporters were paid by Appelt Properties. They had major organized resistance in the form of 'Kelowna Legacy Group'.

Kelowna Mayor Tom Dyas was formally involved with the group before his election, and Les Bellamy acted as a prominent media spokesman. The Kelowna Legacy Group included several former chamber of commerce presidents. Dyas included squelching 350 Doyle Ave in his election promises. Appelt sued, and that is another lawsuit in the high court being paid for by citizens. Les Bellamy and his connections are a key reason in how the dispute landed there.

Les Bellamy is intimately connected to dirty Tom Dyas and that is where his interests lie, it is NOT serving all the residents of Kelowna. Voting for Les Bellamy is voting for his uber good buddy Tom Dyas. Should Dyas be re-elected, Les Bellamy would be delighted to be a new Dyas bumboy. Bellamy is not an answer to Kelowna's problems, he is a source of them.
