| The predictable outcome of the crackdown on the Rail Trail means the 'brains' behind the crackdown is now vowing to spend shitloads more of taxpayer money for enforcement elsewhere in Kelowna. This outcome was predicted months ago by Ron Cannan and it has come to pass. Where 24 are apparently camping now at the Rail Trail, there were upwards of 320 in 2022. |
| The fully obtuse Dyas throws enforcement resources away at the Rail Trail and the homeless simply go elsewhere because of the increased heat, taking their crimes with them. Meanwhile the most recent unemployment numbers in Kelowna have 'improved' to 8.6% from the record breaking 11%. That is still among the highest unemployment rate in any metro area in Canada. The preliminary 2026 Kelowna budget totals $1.05 billion. It was $777 million in Tom Dyas’s first year in office. | ![]() |
