Mayor Tom Dyas singhs his praises - update

City of Kelowna payroll climbed 8% last year: "Overall, the $126.1 million is about 8% higher than the $116.59 million spent the previous year. In 2025, 500 CUPE workers earned $75,000 or more, an increase of 94 from the previous year while those on the management side earning $100,000 or better nearly doubled from 109 in 2024 to 191 last year." Here.

There is NO WAY Kelowna can maintain 8% year over year increases in wages. Uber high paying union jobs need to be cut, not added to in perpetuity. Kelowna is NOT 'high growth' any longer.

The unemployment rate in Kelowna is 9%, partially explaining why people are leaving. 12,100 people were looking for work in the Central Okanagan in May. Kelowna's jobless rate is currently the highest of any Metropolitan Area in Canada.
Mayor Tom Dyas, “In Rutland, we’re bringing together City teams, the RCMP and URBA to deliver practical improvements that make a real difference." Here.

Mayor TomTard is still an undeclared candidate for mayor. He ought not be using Kelowna City resources to spread his filthy, lying propaganda to get re-elected while playing silly bugger.

Kelowna Mayor Tom Dyas spoke of his awesomeness during a bullshit session in the embrace of his Kelowna Chamber luncheon on April 26.
A Kelowna city election is approaching. Undeclared is dumbass Tom Dyas. Ron Cannan spilled official beans yesterday.
Dyas' reversal on Kelowna Springs along with former hero Luke Stack, with Rick Webber, was a thing to behold. Tom Dyas' Punjabi support with his cohort Monhini Singh has never been higher. His backing from burnt pink people is zero.
Facts revealed by Dyas. "The mayor claimed Kelowna has made vast improvements to its public safety sector..." "For one, the size of the policing services has increased by 33 RCMP officers and 17 bylaw officers."

Reasons for exploding taxes under Dyas are clear. While more RCMP is one thing, how does Dyas justify 17 more bylaw officers at $75k per annum each?
And what do they 'do' on any given day? We know what they don't do, and that's enforce City bylaws at the growing Khalistani owned construction garbage dump at 3036 Appaloosa Road.
