![]() | Ryan Nixon's TNT Trucking and father Melvin Ernest Nixon have received a default judgment in BCSC in the amount of $85,458.08 plus interest of $4,326.75, and costs in the amount of $1,137.14. The fly by night operation will NOT be paying for any remediation for the ALR land they have destroyed over 9 years at 982 Old Vernon Road in Kelowna. HERE![]() |

I know you are busy – and, per Castanet, eager to start the holiday season – but I am following up on this request to confirm you received it and are working to protect the citizens of RDCO. More than a few of you represent both the City of Kelowna and RDCO; just a reminder to those wearing dual hats that they have a duty to act in the best interests of the citizens of the RDCO. Presumably you will recuse yourselves from any vote where you don’t feel you can represent RDCO’s interests with the proper standard of care, and not sacrifice the “country mice” in favour of those big city mouse developers. I invite you all to sign my petition – there are only 1530 signatures so far, but of course that is without any marketing endeavours thus far. https://www.change.org/p/save-kelowna-springs-greenspace-updated-2025-petition Ms. DeHart – I, too, extend an invitation to everyone to come and join me for a coffee at my property. You can admire my view of the City-sanctioned gravel pit at the same time. |

982 Old Vernon Road in Kelowna has been turned by Ryan Nixon and the Kandolas into an environmental disaster zone.
![]() | Ryan Nixon of TNT Trucking has operated an illicit soil remediation business at the ALR property of Jeetender S. Kandola and Manraj K. Kandola for over 9 years. "I am writing to request you provide urgent attention to the proposed land transfer and future development at Kelowna Springs Golf Club, as explained by Kelowna Mayor Tom Dyas to Castanet Nov. 22. While the land is within Kelowna city limits, its development poses a direct threat of flooding to RDCO farmland and rural residents. This is not a speculative concern, it affects livelihoods, property and the safety of our community. I urge the regional board to: |
• Engage and inform affected residents without delay.
• Coordinate mitigation efforts with the City of Kelowna prior to the issuance of any approvals.
• Maintain full transparency so the public fully understands the potential impact to RDCO of this proposed development.
The RDCO has a duty to protect residents from preventable harm. Please act now before irreversible damage occurs.
Alexandra Wright"
