Dyas tried the bum's rush before what turned into a 7 hour public hearing on the fate of Denciti's rezoning application. Council was asked to hold off on a vote until after the October election, or wait for floodplain environmental studies and for a valuation for the commercial land being given away.

Supporting the steal were the Chamber of Commerce, Denciti, Construction Associations and firms, real estate agents, and Sandher Fruit Packers.
